Rental Rules
Sekon Rental Property Rules:

Genera
l

This property consists of only privately owned camps.  The privilege of renting a
camp is secondary to the deeded rights of all of the subdivision members.  Only
certain areas are common to the subdivision (see map).  All property owners and
renters are required to respect the privacy of the deeded lots by limiting access to
only the common areas.

Safety

•        Call 911 to report emergencies or violations of state or local law- give camp
911 number.
•        Beach is an unguarded area – owners and renters are responsible for safety of
children.
•        Speed limit is 15 mph on all roads
•        No parking on the roads
•        No blocking of roads or access ways at any time

Do Not Trespass

•        Taking walks in the woods or on property not owned by the rental property is
prohibited (see map - make sure you know where you are entitled to walk)
•        Children or adults running across private property is prohibited.

Power Sports

•        All powered watercraft must observe state boat rules: 5 mph within 100 ft of any
dock, shoreline, other craft, or designated areas.
•        Snowmobiles and PWC’s may not be launched from the Sekon ramp nor
brought onto the Sekon Association property, roads, or easements.

Vehicles

•        Park cars and boat trailers in designated areas only (see map for specific
areas for each camp)
•        No motor homes, campers, or other trailers (except boat) are allowed.

Sanitary

•        Single-ply bathroom tissue only
•        No phosphate detergents
•        No pets are allowed in rental units, on the beach or any of the common areas
or roads
•        Pick up cigarette buts and trash from all areas.  Dispose of at your camp.
•        All trash must be in closed containers to prevent wildlife intrusion.

Nuisance

•        Turn off all unused outdoor perimeter and area lighting after 10:00 pm as
these lights offend others on the lake
•        Quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 9:00 am
•        Deed restriction requires that no activity is permitted which would cause a
nuisance to any other camp examples are:
Loud or rowdy behavior
Barbecuing on the beach
